October 2008
Dear Customers,
You may already be aware of Daimler Trucks North America's (DTNA) decision to discontinue the sale of Sterling branded Heavy,
Medium, and Light duty Trucks. After months of extensive review, and after examining a range of alternatives for both DTNA and
Sterling, we reached the painful conclusion that this action was a necessary response to dynamics in the economic environment,
and future demands on the company's capital and other resources.
A Sterling Truck is a fine vehicle, built to the standards of Daimler, the oldest and most storied motor vehicle manufacturer in
the world. You can count on your truck(s) for years of reliable and profitable service, and on our support, through the Sterling
dealer network, for replacement parts, maintenance services, warranty repairs, and technical support, for many years to come:

Orders for Sterling L- and A-Line vehicles may still be placed through January 15, 2009. Abundant stocks of all Sterling models
are available for immediate delivery, as well, as of this writing.
Should Sterling service be discontinued by an established dealer, DTNA will make alternative arrangements to support customers
like yourself, in the affected area.
Our intention is to convince you that you're being a part of the Daimler Trucks North America family of customers is very much
the right choice for you, and earn your continued patronage through our services and product offerings.
Thank you.
